A note from the founder

Why this blog reads slowly on purpose.

I started QuestDynastyWarriors.ink in a cramped Shoreditch flat because I was tired of reviews written before the credits rolled. Every piece here is played to completion — sometimes twice — before a single word is filed.

We publish two long reads a week, keep affiliate links clearly marked, and never take payment for a verdict. If a game bored me at hour thirty, you'll read exactly that.

What we cover

Columns you can plan your week around.

The Long Verdict

Fridays · from £0, always free

Full completion reviews of 40+ hour RPGs, filed only after the end credits. Expect build breakdowns, pacing notes and a spoiler-safe verdict up top.

Recent: a 6,000-word dissection of a Baldur's-Gate-scale campaign, replayed on two difficulties.

Dynasty Diaries

Tuesdays · grand strategy

Serialised playthroughs of strategy epics told like campaign chronicles — one save file, many betrayals, every collapse documented in glorious detail.

Running now: a 900-year dynasty that survived three regicides and one very bad marriage.

Indie Constellation

Monthly · under £20 picks

A curated map of small releases worth your evening — cosy builders, sharp roguelikes and experiments you won't see on the front page of the big stores.

Latest issue mapped eleven titles, each priced £4.99–£18.99 and finished before we wrote a word.

Good to know

Questions readers actually ask.

Do you take money for positive reviews?+

Never. Verdicts are non-negotiable and unpaid. We do use clearly labelled affiliate links so you can support the blog, but they never touch the score or the recommendation. If a studio sends a key, we say so at the top of the piece.

How often do you publish?+

Two long reads a week: a Long Verdict on Fridays and a Dynasty Diary on Tuesdays, plus a monthly Indie Constellation round-up. We'd rather miss a launch window than publish a review of a game we haven't finished.

Can I pitch a guest piece?+

Yes, and we pay for the ones we run. Send a two-paragraph outline through the contact form below with the genre and roughly how long you've spent with the game. We reply to every pitch within ten working days.

What platforms do you cover?+

Mostly PC, with regular Switch and PlayStation coverage where a game shines there. We're genre-led rather than platform-led, so if a strategy epic or cosy indie lands anywhere, it's fair game for the blog.
